It's Like 100 In These Streets: "Burnouts" from Charles Infamous

Charles Infamous is easily one of my favorite hip hop artists. Every track the melodies are always insanely smooth with the coolest and most sleek of lines. If you think of white boys with swagger you gotta mention Charlie Clips aka Charlie Got Another One repping out of Atlanta; originally from the Philadelphia area.

Brandishing a falsetto that rivals Miike Snow or MIKA (that’s crazy high pitched btw but he’s done it on multiple records most recently on HEAT from the titular “Burnouts”;) Charles Infamous hits a melodic high on HEAT that makes the record so damn re-playable you might shock anyone in your vicinity if they’re not properly tuned to the frequencies of Charles Infamous.

“It's like 100 in these…STREETS!” The falsetto hits your ears like an alien sound you’ve never heard before. HEAT may even be better than Michael Mann’s 1995 crime classic Heat. And If I’m saying that then you know I’m saying a lot!

You might catch Charles Infamous all over different scenic spots in Atlanta performing his music in the most stylish of ways. Other notable picks from Burnouts include Reloaded, Peter Pan, Catch Me Outside (personal favorite) and Who Stayed Down to Ride; yet all the tracks are smash hits and if you like DOPE singing in your hip hop records, look no further than Charles Infamous.

Charles Infamous ends Burnouts with two records that are bit different in form, barring out on “In The A Going Dumb” (love the flow and the lines), and melancholy realness paired with introspection on “Underwater”.

If the next sound out of Atlanta isn’t stamped with Charles Infamous I don’t know if people are listening.
