Wynne Proves Why She's One of the Hottest Emcees Out Right Now with Firefighter (One Take)

I've been familiar with Wynne for quite a few years; I first stumbled upon a Reel of hers when IG originally rolled out the feature and she was rapping a freestyle next to a car on a parking garage referencing how she looks like Margot Robbie. I always thought that bar (besides actually being accurate) was really funny!

Jump to years later, from co-signs (one we actually share in Twista) to some pretty big collaborations and her growth as an artist has always been stellar! Before checking out Firefighter I got see her video with Damian Lillard aka Dame Dolla and I highly recommend watching that as well its called "Peekaboo".

The hook stands out for the coliseum/roman reference bar but its hidden within the words "I Call N See Him", easy to miss and super dope how it flows over the beat. This is the full bar - "He don’t ghost Wynne, his schedules always open If I want I call n see him like a Roman"

"I’m the joint like quarter pound of Oregon loud I’m popping in designer stores I can’t afford to poke around" Another dope line that I feel like she may be slightly referencing "Poke spots in Portland"? but obviously this line is about her surge in popularity.

"I bring the volume to the mass, Y’all are dense its simple math" a dope straight forward line that tickles the nerd in me for sure. Referencing volume, density, mass; with volume being a double entendre with literal scale but also level of audio.

Wynne goes on to end the song stating that the only thing anyone could say badly about her especially after dropping hot music is that she's "from the burbs".
