Walt From.The.Future is Still Trying

Is there anyone else more deserving of the word “future” in their artist name and title other than Walt From.The.Future? I’ve only had the dopeness of making his acquaintance once so far and while he doesn’t necessarily always have to be dressed accordingly; his attire and style make him look, literally, like he's from a forward time. (Think if you ran into Trunks with the sword one day). Walt From.The.Future is easily one of the most exciting recording artists out of Chicago right now…or yet to come, or he already did it all, wait is he reliving the loop backwards?… okay never mind ill stop time conundrums are baffling.
Still Trying from The Big Bang Theory recently got published to his youtube channel which features a mic drop performance. What immediately stood out to me was the movie poster type title card at the beginning of the song, very sleek, super cool. Beyond Walt's visual artistry he's sonically futuristic as well. He sings with a stylistic falsetto autotuned uniquely his own way paired with emotional raps about developing a better relationship with his dad, grieving his grandmother, and the darkest times a lot of us share in this human experience. Moving and captivating to say the least, with one run through not being enough so you instantly have to run this record back.
“Still trying to decide who I wanna be!” echoes in Walt’s beaming falsetto. A wholly relatable concept and honestly in regards to so much music out there, this record is far more wholesome than any new track you’ve recently heard. Still Trying is impactful in its message and morality alone, while also being sonic ear candy.
That’s all to say; Walt From.The.Future is mad dope and deserves your ears immediately upon reading this but perhaps you’ve already heard him and you reading this already happened and in fact you probably just need to start this article back over to figure out where we are in the time loop.
