When All Your Girls Are 15 Late

I discovered Brooke Alexx on IG from a piece of her organically viral content or possibly an ad campaign. What stands out to me about her is she reminds me of the pop music I grew up with such as Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera while not being too risque but still modern and inventive. The concepts she creates songs around are quite relatable to any young ambitious woman and she always nails how the song comes across visually in her content.
Her latest music video to “15 Late” is a lot of fun with her and her 3 friends in a sports car still en route to the function. The idea is that any woman is fashionably late and it's culturally acceptable. “Pick up Kayla on the way” I’ve noticed Brooke tends to reference her real life friends in her songs and then actually shoots content and features them; whether its getting their reaction to the first listen in Brooke’s car, or actually being an actor in her skits, she creatively gets her friends involved in her content that I don’t think I’ve seen in any other recording artist. And that’s saying a lot, she truly has figured out how to creatively include her immediate people into her overarching narrative and storytelling.
Another funny lyric that struck me was “Got stuck in traffic, thought I saw Brad Pitt, nah I just lost the address.” I giggled upon hearing it because it's 2026 and millennials still think of him as this strapping fellow, which maybe he still is but I find it hilarious.
From love songs to club songs and more, Brooke Alexx’s music is fun every time she drops, and I always enjoy hearing her interpretations on music as a musician and vocalist myself.
