Bochra Taboubi is a visual artist and designer from the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Tunis. She specializes in organic forms, bio-mimicry and the relationship between man and nature. This biological and philosophical research takes the form of drawings, monographs, videos, and sometimes sculptures with plates that she coins “Imaginary taxonomy”. She mainly works on artificial life with fictitious creatures to create her own fabulation repertoire that questions human issues. She uses her workspace and her studio as an installation in perpetual metamorphosis, a kind of laboratory of experiments.
She is the Co-Founder of grimoire.fanzine, which is a free fanzine in digital form. It is meant to be disturbing and provocative content, blurring the lines between reality and fiction, as well as between the visible and the invisible.
Bochra Taboubi is an artist who is breaking barriers in Tunis, Tunisia.
