Marble Floors and China Dishes

Chicago’s D’So Nyce is on a run lately with his releases including the roll out of an album fit for the finest of hip hop pleasures and indulgences.

The lines kept echoing in my head as we shot footage for D’So and a gorgeous model named An’Gel on a white studio backdrop with diamonds draping over the plate, pretending like the diamonds were a full course meal. 

DSo wanted to conceptualize a different and classier cover art. We did just that using diamonds and the model as symbols for the elegant, the high class. The angle and perspective were refreshing, and considering that we’re both fathers, his interpretation of hip hop is mad relatable. As we age, our ideas of fun naturally become classier and less chaotic, more grounded, more intentional. D’So Nyce as a lyricist reflects too, intention.
