Born to two CTA bus drivers, Ahmed Burson's work is a reflection of his upbringing of understanding of urban blue collar lifestyles and what it means to grow up in the city. As Ahmed grew older he had epiphanies about the nature of the Chicago existence, its racial inequalities, stigmas held against the black community, and how everyday workers shape our reality to keep it alive and thriving amidst the chaotic aspects of urban life.
He is also a muralist creating beautiful murals in neighborhoods throughout the Chicago.
The last mural was an amazing take on the CTA bus - this mural is located at Fullerton and Milwaukee.
